After Hours Dispatcher – Remote

CARE Ambulance is seeking a reliable and professional After Hours Dispatcher to assist with after hours operations. This position is fully remote and requires strong communication skills, dependability, and the ability to remain available and responsive throughout the assigned shift.

Job Duties Include:

  • Answering all incoming calls promptly and professionally
  • Dispatching crews for transports and service calls
  • Communicating with hospitals, nursing facilities, and ambulance crews
  • Monitoring active calls and keeping crews updated as needed
  • Verifying insurance information when needed
  • Providing transport quotes and pricing information
  • Documenting transport information accurately
  • Assisting with operational issues that arise after hours
  • Maintaining professionalism with staff, facilities, and patients at all times

Position Requirements:

  • Must be dependable and able to work independently
  • Must maintain consistent phone availability during assigned shifts
  • Phones will be forwarded to your personal phone during after hours coverage
  • Must answer all dispatched calls and communications promptly
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills required
  • Prior dispatch, customer service, medical office, or EMS experience preferred
  • Must have reliable cell service and internet access
  • Ability to handle confidential patient information appropriately

Work Environment:

  • Fully remote/work from home position
  • Must maintain a quiet and professional environment while working
  • Ability to remain attentive and responsive throughout shift is required
