Ambulance Operations Manager – CARE Ambulance

CARE Ambulance is seeking an Ambulance Operations Manager to oversee daily field and operational functions of our service. This position is responsible for ensuring efficient operations, crew support, compliance, and high quality patient care delivery.

Position Summary:
The Ambulance Operations Manager will manage day to day ambulance operations, including staffing coordination, fleet readiness, and operational performance. This role works closely with dispatch, field staff, and leadership to maintain service standards and response expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily ambulance operations and ensure adequate staffing coverage
• Coordinate with dispatch to manage call flow, unit utilization, and response times
• Monitor crew performance and provide coaching, training, and support as needed
• Ensure compliance with company policies, state regulations, and documentation standards
• Assist with scheduling needs, shift coverage, and operational problem solving
• Oversee fleet readiness, including rig checks, maintenance coordination, and supply management
• Work with CQI to address documentation issues and improve patient care quality
• Handle day to day operational issues, including escalations from crews or facilities
• Support special event planning and operational coverage (RAGBRAI, standby events, etc.)
• Maintain strong communication with leadership regarding operational needs and concerns

Qualifications:

• EMS experience required (Paramedic Required)
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience Required
• Strong communication and problem solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Knowledge of EMS operations, compliance, and documentation requirements

Schedule & Expectations:

• Full time position with flexibility to meet operational needs
• Availability for occasional after hours support as needed
